Student Coaching

Carolyn has worked on Exclusion Projects for over ten years, and in Hillingdon Borough for eight years. As part of this work she received training in supporting students to manage anger and challenging behaviour, increase confidence, and improve inter-personal skills.

Individual student coaching has been shown to offer the following benefits to staff and students:

FOR STUDENTS

  • An opportunity to discuss personal issues in confidence
  • An opportunity to develop inter-personal skills
  • A time to set targets linked to college and home

FOR STAFF

  • Time saving having to deal with issues, due to specialist intervention
  • Improved retention, attendance and achievement
  • Peace of mind, knowing that students are receiving support with their needs

Students are seen in 30 minute sessions, as their attention may wander after that time, so a minimum of 2 students are needed for a one-hour session.

Carolyn has Enhanced CRB status, and full Public Liability Insurance. Sessions can be booked by the hour.
